Read me: Changes in Unit Metrics starting in November 2024
The 2024 Camping record is included. We still await the Buckeye Council Report, so some troops will appear not to have used summer camp and will have an outdoor metric of zero until we update with the BC report.
When completely checked for accuracy, a link to the 2024 Camping data will appear on the main unit metric page.
Summary
Text below in this color is being updated. Check back.
Cub Scout Packs
Cub Scouts
21% of our Packs are in distress (as judged by a UH score of 0 to 2 out of 6)
Only 9% of our Packs have a perfect score, while 37% are rated very good (at 5 or 6 out of 6).
60% of Packs meet the minimum size of 20 youth. Only 12 packs have 50 or more youth.
44% of Packs have had y2y positive growth, strongly up, but also reflecting the move to a true 12-month growth calculation by measuring the metrics at the end of the month.
100 percent of Packs have had 30% or more of their youth advance in the last year.
78% have both Cubmaster and Committee Chair Trained, down from 90% in April.
32% have sufficient registered adults, strongly down from the 42% in October, and slightly lower than 6 of the previous 7 Unit Metric measures.
Only 57% of units use the Summer Programs of Day and Resident Camp in this or other councils. This is down sharply from the 66% rate in 2023. Over the month of November, this number will be carefully audited as a more complete camping report will be released.

Scouts BSA Troops
Scouts BSA
6% (or 7) of our troops are in distress (as judged by a UH score of 0 to 2 out of 6). This is down from 10 units in October and 12 units in September.
20% have a perfect score, which is down from the 23% of our Troops in October and only 55% are very good, with scores of 5 or 6 out of 6, way down from the 71% of October, possibly because of the missing camping data
58% of Troops are of minimum size, 12 or more same as October.
49% of Troops have had y2y positive growth.
95% have both Scoutmaster and Committee Chair Trained.
83% have sufficient registered adults.
70% of the troops report attending summer camp, down from 2023's 82%. This is likely due to the missing camping data, so check back.
90% of Troops have at least 30 percent of scouts who have advanced in rank in the last year, way up from the October measure of 76%
